The Three Sisters - Onon’onsera Earrings -

$180.00Price

The Three Sisters - Onon’onsera - (Squash) - These earrings are 1/3 sets that are named after a story told in my nation, Kanien’kehá:ka, about three sisters who gave themselves to the creator to be turned into plants: corn, beans, + squash to save their people who were starving. This story is especially dear to my heart because I am one of three sisters in my family, and we have the sweetest bond together. The story says, “the oldest was tall and strong, the middle sister was always trying to help and look after others, and the third sister even though she was the youngest, was a protector.” and in our own ways I think that fits my sisters and me too.
